Ammonia Storage Tanks
Depending on the solution you're looking for, we recommend
Field Application - This is by far the most used method of application. A nurse tank, which can be up to 1500 gallons, is used to apply liquid anhydrous ammonia to the soil as a source of nitrogen prior to planting. Try Cactus Tanks
Farm Bulk Storage - The use of larger stationary tanks (10,000 - 30,000 gallons) allows farmers to store ammonia in bulk on their farms or at co-op facilities for the duration of the growing season. The farmer will then purchase ammonia at a lower price during the off-season and transfer the needed amount to his nurse tanks during the application period. Try Westmor Industries
Fertilizer Dealer / Distribution Terminals - These are mid-to-large pressurized tanks located at retail agricultural supply dealerships. They act as regional distribution centers and transfer product to the farmer’s nurse tank(s), or directly into the applicator equipment for local farmers. Try TransTech Energy
Industrial Refrigeration Systems - Pressurized ammonia is used as a refrigerant in the majority of all food processing plants, cold storage warehouses and meat packing facilities. It is circulated through a closed-loop system. Try Airgas Specialty Products
Chemical Manufacturing Feed Stock - The tanks of pressurized ammonia supply anhydrous ammonia as a raw material for the production of other chemicals - primarily nitric acid, urea and various ammonium compounds used in industrial processes. Try Tanner Industries
